Emma Fairchild

Emma Lee Cauldwell Fairchild was born January 5, 1939 in Prairie View, AR. She passed away January 6, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 30 years, Tom Charles, her parents Hester and Della Cauldwell, and brother Franklin (Ochie) Cauldwell.

She is survived by two sisters, Cathy Olsen of Van Buren, Shirley Cole of Charleston, and one brother David Cauldwell, four daughters Kerri and Gordon Goodwin of Van Buren, Kristy Huffman of Van Buren, Luci and Randy Bone of Conway, Heidi and William Hogue of Monticello. Seven grandchildren: Ryan Hogue, Ashley Hogue Forrest, Sarah Huffman Hornor, Adam Huffman, Stephanie Bone Medlin, Brittany Bone Cecil, Caitlin Huffman Alewine. Fourteen Great Grandchildren: Jackson Teague, Cain, Carter, and Piper Forrest; Jacob, Liam, and Finn Huffman; Raelynn Hogue; Marco and Thad Hornor; Emmalee and Adalee Alewine; Easton and Parker Cecil and several nieces and nephews.

The celebration of her life will be held January 8, 2022 at 2 pm at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church 605 N 47th Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Emma was an RN for 40+ years caring for all types of patients, from babies to the elderly. She taught nursing at AR Valley Votec and was instrumental in setting up the medical clinic in Mountainburg. For the last several years she has been enjoying being a Mawmaw to her grandchildren.
