Elsie Marie Coder, 89, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on July 6, 2021. She was born on October 28, 1931 in Oark, Arkansas to Gustav Schurg and Ipha Collins Schurg. Elsie was a long time member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Robert Coder.
She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Judy and Allan Jackson of Pocola, OK.; two grandchildren, Cody Jackson and wife Brittney of Pocola, Robert Jackson of Pocola, OK.; three great grandchildren, Gunner, Bodie and Creed Jackson; four sisters, Anna Willis, Marcet Denniston, Lucia Feguson, Nellie Schurg; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family will be having private graveside service. Services were entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
