Earl Kenneth Jones

Earl "Mug" Kenneth Jones, 66, of Fort Smith, died August 6, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born June 29, 1949 in Fort Smith to Letcher Knox and Helen Jones Brewer. He was retired from both Harding Glass and the Whirlpool Corp. He was of the Christian Faith, a veteran of U.S. Marines, and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Jones of the Home; one daughter, Niya Willis of Fort Smith; two sons, Darwin Jones and Anthony Jones both of Fort Smith; three sisters, Matti Hardgraves of Atlanta, GA., Rhonda Brewer and Charlette Brewer Woods both of Fort Smith; six brothers, Carl Jones of Yuma, AZ., Ronald Jones, Michael Manager, Glenn Brewer, Sr., and Jerry Jones all of Fort Smith and Danny Brewer of Little Rock; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Versey Naples; maternal grandmother, Christine Jones; two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Jones and Charles (Bee) Brewer, Jr.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the New Covenant International Christian Center with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with military honors, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Jones, Danny Brewer, Glenn Brewer, Sam Willis, Jr., Oliver Willis and Carl Willis.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
