Dwight Eugene Smith

Dwight Eugene Smith, 65 of Dyer passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Fayetteville. He was born August 29, 1948 in Mulberry to late Chancey and Edith Smith. He was a Baptist and a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a retired Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Pope Cemetery in Mountainburg. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

Dwight is survived by his wife Glenda Sue Smith of the home, two sons; Timothy Smith of Dyer and Gary Smith of Alma, six grandchildren; Saraj Rose King of Dyer, Chauncey Guy Smith and Shylow Smith both of Alma, Tommy Wagley of Van Buren, Kansas Wagley of Ft. Smith, and Johnathan Wagley of Van Buren. Dwight is also survived by six sisters; Frances Nelson of Mulberry, Patricia Enloe of Ft. Smith, Kathy Flores of Van Buren, Becky Escalante of Huntington, Shelia Medlock of Alma and Brenda McGhee of Denning; his six brothers; Dale Alan Smith of Spokane, WA, Roger Smith of Hartford, Bruce Smith of Muskogee, OK, Paul Smith of Alamogordo, NM, Mark Smith of Mountainburg, and Robert “Tony” Smith of Texas.

Pallbearers will be Gary and Chauncey Smith, Tommy and Johnathan Wagley, and Josh and Kenny Medlock.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
