Dorothy L Tucker

Dorothy Ilene Tucker, 90, of Fort Smith, died December 21, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born April 17, 1927 in Magazine, AR to Robert Ray and Willie Agnes Winders Elkins. She was a homemaker and oldest member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith where she attended for 77 years and taught Sunday School for 34 of those years, and was a former member of Old Union Presbyterian Church in Magazine, AR.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald G. and wife Gail Elkins of Fort Smith, Douglas E. and wife Judy Tucker of Mansfield, AR., and Daniel W. and wife Jayme Tucker of Muldrow, OK; two brothers, Roy Elkins of Van Buren, AR and Ramon Elkins of Fort Smith; one sister, Willadeen Taylor of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Enoch Tucker and brother Reverend Harold Elkins.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Old Union Cemetery in Magazine, AR all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Paul Elkins, Rachel Hampton, R.J. Elkins, Andrew Elkins, Darren Tucker, Jim Elkins, Shane Szczerba, and Dylan Elkins.

The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Service.
