Dorothy "Shane" Mae Releford-Green

Dorothy was born on June 4, 1932 to the union of Charlie Releford and Lillian Nickerson Releford. She departed this life on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Valley Springs Nursing Facility in Van Buren, AR with many loved ones surrounding her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Her surviving roots include six children, Clarence (Pat) Youngblood of Houston TX, Glenda Posey and Donny (Jessie) Youngblood both of Muldrow, OK, Linda (Eddie) Burgess of Vian, OK, Billy Youngblood of Fort Smith, AR, and Phyllis Alexander of Fayetteville, AR; thirty grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

Dorothy’s home going celebration will be 11 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Trinity Methodist Church in Muldrow, Oklahoma with burial to follow at Center Point Cemetery in Redland, OK. Visitation will be 6 PM until 8 PM Friday, October 18, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Ted Lewis Johnson, Ronnie Youngblood, Vernell Benton, James Moton, Stanley Releford and Gary Don Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Gene Releford, James Releford, Pete Polk, Terry Youngblood, James K. Youngblood and Steve Moton.

Services are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
