David N. Young, 64, of Fort Smith, passed from this life June 27, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born April 15, 1951, in Fort Smith to Robert and Eula Belle Young. David retired after 33 years at Georgia Pacific Dixie Products. He worked as printer, printing maintenance mechanic and machinist. He was a Christian of the Church of Christ faith. He served in the Arkansas National Guard, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.
David is survived by his sons, James David Young of Van Buren and Steven Anthony Young of Fort Smith; his mother, Eula Belle Bolding Young of Van Buren; one sister, Sandra Strevig and her husband Barry of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Raymond Young and his wife Judie of Williamstown, West Virginia, Daniel Young of Van Buren and Ronald Young and his wife Joyce of Van Buren. David was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Young.
More than anything, David enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was always willing to spend time and give advice or help to anyone. Because he cared, he always had good advice to give and with the advice, he always added some humor. He was very witty with a dry sense of humor, hilarious at times, and could sometimes make you laugh until you cried. We invite everyone who knew David to join us and celebrate his life.
