David A. Wood

David A. Wood, 58, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013, in Fort Smith. He was born December 19, 1954 in Fort Smith, AR to the late Lloyd and Doris Jean England Wood. He was a Certified Public Accountant, an accomplished Car Salesman for Bill White Hyundai in Fort Smith and Lee Buick /GMC in Crestview, FL. He was saved and was a member of Our Reedemer Luther Church in Fort Smith, AR. He was preceded in death by his first wife Tonia Elaine Dolan Wood and a daughter Jennifer Jean Wood. David lived his life with generosity, a big heart, and was always concerned with the well being of others even when he was in the midst struggling himself. He was always very happy and truly loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Steep Hill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR. He is survived by his wife Brenda Hickey Wood, two daughters Kayla Hickey of Spiro, OK and Monica Hickey of Fort Smith, AR, one son and daughter in law Paul and Agnes Hickey of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, one brother and sister in law Phillip and Shirley Ann Wood of Fort Smith, AR and three nieces Hydie Hale of Rogers, AR Rita Tolley, of Fayetteville, AR, and Billie Nelligan of Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Shelby, Jonah Flores, Ray Boggus, Ricky Nolan, Michael Sims and Preston Martinez. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
