Daniel “Dan” Elser, 57 of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at his home. He was born October 2, 1959 in Ft. Smith to Lawrence and Agnes Elser. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Barling where he served many years on the Parish Council and was past Chairman of the Church Carnival. He worked for the James Fork Regional Water District and was owner of Telemetry Services. He also served his community through the Youth Athletics Program in Barling. He loved stand-up jet skiing, hunting, fishing, and all things Razorbacks. He was the best Dad in the World. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence “Larry” Elser.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Dan is survived by his wife Linda of the home, his daughter Lauren Fazi and her husband Vincent of Gentry, his son Eric Elser of Ft. Smith, his mother Agnes Elser of Barling, his mother-in-law Theresia Lasiter of Ft. Smith, two sisters; Becky Elser-Young and her husband Gary of Barling, Ruth Elser-Waits and her husband Bruce of Tulsa, OK, his brother, Tom Elser and his wife Sherry of Fayetteville, as well as several brother and sister-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
