Christine Ann (Olszewski) Johnson, 74, of Fort Smith, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She was born on February 19, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Stanley and Helen (Bond) Olszewski. Christine was a retired state employee, having worked for the Department of Human Services in both Sebastian and Crawford County, and Ozark, Arkansas. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church and was involved with the ARC for the River Valley. Christine enjoyed fishing, country music and going to church, and she especially loved her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Christine is preceded in death by a son, Andrew Olszewski and a brother, Bobby Olszewski.
She is survived by two daughters, Carrie Yarberro (Wyland) and Tracey Wardlaw (Brandon), both of Fort Smith; a son, Joshua Mars (Pebbles) of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mary Jo Storce of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Betty Plaskey of Fox Lake, Illinois and Cheryl Weaver (Billy) of Durham, North Carolina; a brother, Bernie Olszewski of Rolling, Meadows and a sister-in-law, Fe Olszewski, also of Rolling Meadows. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Trey Yarberro, Aaron Galaviz, Lukas Yarberro, Tori, Gavin and Bryce Wardlaw, along with two great grandchildren, Xander and Lillianna Yarberro and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Heaven gained such an amazing, hardworking, outgoing, caring, and beautiful woman.
