Charles K. Lester

Charles K. Lester, 82 of Ft. Smith passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born October 11, 1930 in Fort Smith to the late Kenneth R. and Essie Fae (Bailey) Lester. He was a Charter Member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He was a former co-owner of Yoe’s Litho, Inc. and retired from Calvert McBride Printing Company. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marion Lester.

Memorial service will be 11:00 Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Private interment with Military Honors will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

He is survived by two daughters; Sharon Johnson and Cathy Tate both of Ft. Smith, two sons; Ronnie Lester of Gainesville, FL and Allen Lester of Bartlesville, OK, and their families, as well as eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the funeral home.
