He retired from Great Western Enterprises after decades of working with his best friend and second family. After retirement, he became an independent consultant which took him on many adventures around the world. Those that knew him were sure to be regaled with his stories, especially those of his time in the Middle East. He loved his family and his faith. He was a member of Van Buren First Assembly Church, and his church family always held a special place in his heart and were so supportive during his last days.
He is survived by two brothers, Michael Etchieson (Phyllis) and Claude Etchieson (Linda); his daughters Kelley Etchieson, Tracey Powell (Scott), and Tina Ward (Mike); and grandchildren Tyler Powell, Blake Powell, Taylor Ward and Micah Ward. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Jo Etchieson, and his parents.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
