Carly was quite adventurous and whimsical. She had a keen sense of self and was unapologetically unique. Carly described herself best, “Eclectic and Eccentric Young Lady, Lover of Gold and The Old, A Tornado with Pretty Eyes and a Heartbeat.”
She was a mother most would love to have. Carly fiercely loved her boys. She taught them to be authentically themselves. She helped them make masterpieces and played with them as though she was a little girl. She encouraged them to be brave and to love generously. Her soul thrived with her love for music, and she passed all genres of music to her sons. She danced with them without a care in the world. They were her most precious jewels.
Carly saw beauty in things most people wouldn’t. She loved old antique décor, clothing, photos, everything. She had the innate ability to see value through the weathered tattered tags, much like how she saw people. Carly was extremely loving and kind. She would help anyone without judgement. She was fun and funky, yet reserved and spunky. She liked odd and rare things and had so much knowledge about decades past. She was effortlessly stylish. She screamed edgy elegance, class and tough femininity in the silence of her beauty. She was timeless.
She enjoyed gardening and swinging in her hammock in the midnight hours. She was a crafter, an artist, and a photographer. She was a scrapbooker and a master collage designer. Every notebook she had, she turned into collage art. She loved making jewelry and leatherworking. She was also a very talented painter, and she loved her naps! She truly was one of a kind.
“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring” – David Bowie
