Brooke "Brookie" Mendoza

Brooke “Brookie” Mendoza, 33, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on December 12, 2021. She was born on November 21, 1988 in Fort Smith, AR to Joey Mendoza and Shelly Lensing. Brookie was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed coaching and watching her kids play sports; going fishing with Lamar, sewing and making crafts. Brookie was always listening and helping others. She loved hanging out with family and friends.

Brookie is preceded in death by her grandfather, Bob Lensing; grandparents, Robert and Patricia Mendoza; nana, Jean Fontaine and cousin, Kyle Weldon.

She is survived by her husband, Lamar Simpson; son, Keelan Mendoza; daughter, Kylynn Simpson; mother, Shelly Lensing; father and bonus mother, Joey and Debi Mendoza; grandmother, Rosetta Lensing; god parents, Kevin and Candace Lensing, Barbie Stone; five sisters, Lindsey Mendoza, Erica Mendoza and fiancé, Tyler Shelton, Heather Holt and husband Corey, Demessia Werschky and Legacy Mendoza; one brother, Quinton Peters; grandmother, Betty Simpson; mother in law, Natalie Simpson; sister in law, Brittany Simpson; father in law, Markom Guidry; three nieces, Madison Tapia and husband Raymundo, Ellie JoLynn Shelton and Mya Simpson; five nephews, Ethan Nguyen, Ashton Alston, Austin Mendoza Sullivan, RJ Matamords and Kedrick Simpson; several aunts, uncles, cousins and so so so many friends that loved her.

Brookie’s smile lit up the room and her infectious laugh was truly one of a kind.
