Bradley W. Kidder, Sr., 89, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 in Fort Smith. He was born August 15, 1933 in Denver, CO to the late Milton and Thelma (Bolton) Kidder. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Professor of World History at UAFS. He was a member of First Christian Church, the Fort Smith Roadrunners, and served on Fort Smith’s first Board of Directors. He was a delegate to the 1979 Arkansas Constitutional Convention and was a Director Emeritus of Fort Smith Little Theatre.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Brooxine Kidder of the home; three daughters, Kary Ennis and her husband Joe of Springdale, Leslie Kidder of Sugarloaf, Brooks Anne Courtway and her husband Jeff of Fayetteville; one son, Bradley Kidder, Jr. and his wife Kim of Fort Smith; one sister, Sally Stewart of Livermore, CA; two brothers, Doug Kidder of Fayetteville and Bill Kidder and his wife Sharla of New York City; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at First Christian Church in Fort Smith with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR.
Pallbearers will be Richard Griffin, Jeff Courtway, Colton Courtway, Levi Rush, Chris Jackson, and Bradley Kidder, Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12 St, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
