Billie Jo Moore, 84, of Barling, passed away at Legacy Heights Independent Living Center in Van Buren. She was born June 17, 1927 in Fort Smith to Bill and Lucile Beam Livingston. She married Charles A. Moore, September 28, 1946 building over 52 years of family and memories. She was a proud member of East Side Baptist Church. She dearly loved being with and cooking for her family and her Apple Dumplings, Spaghetti & Meatballs and Apricot Pies, bordered on legendary.
Those left behind to remember her and grow from her love and care include one son, William Robert Moore and wife Stephanie of Kibler, AR; one daughter, Rhonda Lea Moore Ground & husband Mark of Paris, TX; grandchildren, Ben Moore of Austin, TX., Charlie Moore of Dallas, TX., Robin Gibson & husband Ben of Choctaw, OK., Kristen Ferguson & husband Jeff of San Antonio, TX., Angela Nickell & husband Jesse of Atwood, OK., and Brian Moore of Seminole, OK; great grandchildren, Jordan, Dawson, Anna, Cayser, and River; one sister, Dawn Moore of McAlester, Ok; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lynn & husband Bob of Georgia and Helen Moore-Montgomery of McKinney, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Moore and son Eddie Moore.
Funeral service will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Ford officiating, with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
The family will greet friends in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday.
