Betty Jo Seay, 95, of Barling, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. She was born on April 2, 1927 in Calico Rock, AR to the late Joseph and Rosie Wade Marchant. Betty was formerly a commercial loan advisor for First Federal Savings and Loan and retired from Littlefield Oil Company as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Booneville Chapter for over 70 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Seay; two sisters, Helen Marchant, Berta Huber and a brother, Gordon Marchant.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the interment at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Seay Lawler (Ron) of Fort Smith; a brother, Wade Marchant of Springfield, MO; a niece, Brenda Stewart (Howard) of Moore, OK and a great nephew, Robert Stewart of Oklahoma City.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
