Betty Louis Deason, 90, of Fort Smith passed from this life March 14, 2020 in Fort Smith. Betty was born November 25, 1929 in Ozark, Arkansas to the late Harvey and Reldia Walker Mullen. Betty worked 30 years as a beautician and was co-owner of the Midland Blvd Restaurant. She spent the last 17 of her working years in the Craft and Fabric Department at Wal-Mart. Betty is the widow of Kincheloe Joe Deason.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Barbara Westmoreland and her husband Robert of Fort Smith; her son, Steven Burdick of Fort Smith; her sister and brother in law, Lena Reed and Earl Reed for Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Paula McGrew and her husband Loran, Bridgett Wolfrum and David Williams and his wife Jill; seven great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother and sisters.
Graveside services will be 2:00pm Thursday March 19, 2020 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the Direction of Edwards Funeral Home. The Family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home.
