Betty Clifton, 74, of Roland, OK, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, in Fort Smith. She was born March 20, 1944 in Fort Smith to the late Donnie and Otis Ellen Freeman. She was retired from Riverside Furniture. Her husband, Joe David Clifton; her brother, Kenneth Don Freeman; and her daughter-in-law, Tammy Clifton preceded her in death.
Betty loved working outside in her garden with her son and working in her flowerbeds. She loved yard selling with her sister, Katheryn and spending time with her. She collected Coca-Cola figurines. Betty always time with her brothers, sisters and cousins always visiting and having luncheons with them. She enjoyed cookouts at her home with her son Mark grilling. She truly had a heart of gold.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roland Cemetery, both under the direction of Edwards Funeral in Fort Smith.
Her sons, Mark Clifton & Jeneene Conway of Roland and Scott Clifton of Roland; her sister, Kathryn Bowman of Fort Smith; her brother, Joe Freeman of Roland; and four grandchildren, Seth, Caleb, Ryley and Arayah King, survive her.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Guthrie, Jason Love, Matthew Allen, Chris Freeman, Eric Freeman and Damon Freeman.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
