Becky Crawford, 76, of Fort Smith, went to be with her Lord, on Friday evening, surrounded by her family. She was born in Fort Smith, in 1937, to the late Roy and Willie Bassett. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Polly Reynolds. Becky was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, and loved praise and worship music. She was also a lifetime member, of Echols and Euper Lane Elementary PTA. She had a compassionate heart, and enjoyed serving, with the Salvation Army, where she was a part of their Woman’s Auxiliary. One of the highlights of Christmas, for her, was being a bell ringer, and working at the Angel Tree. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Becky is survived by, her husband, Bobby, to whom, she was married, for 54 years. Also surviving , is her daughter Jennifer Martin, with her husband Ryan, and their children, Morgan, Katherine, Gabriella and Isabella, of Fayetteville, She has three sons; Greg Crawford, of Fort Smith, Grant Crawford, with his wife, Elizabeth and their children, Hannah, Sarah, John, Matthew and Isaac, of West Point, New York, Jeff Crawford, with his wife Julie, and their children, Garrett, Madison, Grayson and Marcela, of Springdale. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Thwaits, of Fort Smith. You are invited to celebrate Becky’s life, with her family, on Tuesday July 9th, at 10am, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, in Fort Smith. She will be remembered with some of her favorite music, and her son, Jeff officiating. After the service, there will be a brief committal service at Oak Cemetery. One specific request that Becky had, was that no one wear black. Her family will be greeting friends, on Monday evening, between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, at Edwards Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers are; Garrett Crawford, John Crawford, Greg Crawford, Grant Crawford, Ryan Martin, Howard Bradford, Roy Tipton and Carl Don Allen. In the place of customary tributes, the family has requested, that donations be made, to the Adoption Fund, at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, 3900 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72904.
