Barbara Jean Braun DeWitt, 80, of Tulsa, OK, daughter of the late Eugene and Marie Braun of Fort Smith, was born on March 19, 1932 in Fort Smith, went to be with our Lord on April 3, 2012 in Glenpool, OK. Barbara was a graduate of Northside High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She lived most of her life in Tulsa, OK., and Fort Smith where in both areas she was a Realtor. We will deeply miss her being in this world, but know and feel peace that she has gone to be with our Lord. We will always love her. Upon entering the Kingdom of Heaven, had she been asked, “What have you done to deserve being here?” Barbara’s answer would have been, “I did nothing, I accepted Jesus into my heart and he did it all for me”. Heaven would have replied, “That is the right answer, the only answer my child, so enter my good and faithful servant. We know that she was saved by grace, not of works or of herself. Her reward is to be alive eternally in the presence of our Lord. Knowing this, peace will follow after her and with her “Loved Ones” until that great day of reunion.
She is survived by three daughters, MiMi Williams Crumpton and husband Marc of Homasassa, FL., Eugenia Vicki Morris and Mia Marie Morgan both of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Marc Crumpton, Jr., Braun Crumpton, Cliff Crumpton, Morgan Morrison, and Jacob Morris; and three great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Barbara may be viewed from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home.
