"Absent from the body, present with the Lord". Through her faith in Jesus Christ, Ann L Peoples has entered into the eternal presence of the Lord. She will be surely missed by her family and friends, but join us in rejoicing in her home going.
Ann departed this life October 24, 2012 in Fort Smith. She was born December 18, 1929 in Fort Smith to William A. Davis and Flora Ogden Davis. Ann was retired from OK Industries after 31 years of service. She was a member of the Village Harbor Garden Club, and First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School to the 9 year old and 17 year old age groups.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Walter Davis; and her sister, Gladys Edmondson.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Peoples; one daughter, Jane Peoples of Van Buren; one son, Jimmy Ray “Rusty” Peoples and his wife Merry Ann, of Fort Smith; one sister, Grace Sheaburg of Chanute, KS; one brother, William Davis of Alma, AR; one grandson, Ray Peoples and his wife Abbi, of Barling, AR; and two great-grandsons, Graham Aiden Peoples and Owen Reid Peoples. Ann is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 29, 2012, in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Fort Smith National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Wayne King, Bill George, Leon Bartlett, Al White, Herb Davis, and Jim Baxter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Tom Gray’s Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 28, 2012, from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Edwards Funeral Home.
