As an educator, William taught in Caslan, AB as well as Salisbury High School in Sherwood Park, AB.
He is predeceased by his wife, Agnes; parents, John and Lena; and sister-in-law, Marilyn.
William is survived by his brother, Eli; step-son, Kyle; niece, Lauree (Paul); great-nephews, Cameron and Austyn; as well as many cousins, other special friends, and relatives.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
