John was truly the most genuine, honest, kind, funny person I've ever known. We met in 2006 but had lost touch a few times just due to life. We had just recently reconnected again and even though time was cut short, I am still incredibly thankful for having the pleasure of knowing such an amazing human being. He will never be forgotten. 
My condolences to all of John's family and friends. I am so very sorry for your loss.

RIP John...

I first met John in jr. high I was a different kind of kid then angry at the world bad teenager stage. John was the biggest most Intimidating guy to meet but within a minute, I realized how great of a person he is.   He related to me and understood My frustrations and helped me a point, my frustrations and anger toward something constructive so he took me under his wing, and signed me up for football. He taught me a lot about football. I played on the offensive line with him. Through high school if I had any questions, he never hesitated to get me the answers. He was the most genuine person I have ever met. Treated me like his brother and inspired A lot of good in me. My only regret with him was losing touch after high school and never thanking him for helping me through a tough time in my life

Heather and family, our hearts go out to you in this difficult time.  We wish you the peace that comes with knowing he is no longer suffering through all the pain and health problems, and with the loving memories that will always fill your hearts.  Our deepest condolences to all of you!

“Redneck at heart” describes John to a tee. His what you see is what you get outlook on life was for me, refreshing because I always knew where I stood. He always asked and commented about my kids sports teams and was a good guy. 
John, I hope all the lures you make are perfect and all your casts result in trophies. That every shot you take finds it’s mark and that for eternity, your plate consists of freshly caught fish or venison.

Im  so  incredibly  sorry  for  your  guys's loss. John  was  an  amazing  person  and  you  guys  meant  the  world  to him  all  his  family  did. Everytime  we  talked  he  had  stories  and  smiles  from  times  with  you  all. He  was  taken  far  to  soon  but  hes  not  in pain or suffering anymore. John  was  the  best  friend  anyone  could  have  asked  for he  was  so  positive  and  always  made  me  laugh  till  I  cried, he  was  extremely  talented, I  will  never  forget  your  trip  out  to  BC  when  he  took  me  fishing.
