Born (March 4, 1930) in Innisfail and married (July 8, 1961) in Lethbridge to Elenor Margaret Oster (dec.). J.T. and Mickey had 41 wonderful years of marriage. Jim was a long term employee of AGT/ Telus. His favourite place of all to spend time was at him farm about an hour out of Edmonton. When not at the farm he would be at the Westend Seniors Activity Center. Jim was much sought after as he knew what made the place tick. Jim and Ross (his best friend) were the handymen of the centre for 30 or more years. Jim had many friends where ever he went. To have a conversation with Jim would often leave you feeling enlightened as he had a different way of looking at most things. To say he had a dry sense of humour would be an understatement as either you would appreciated it or be left in the dust. Jim was described as quick witted, soft spoken, and a man of few words. He was also not one to repeat himself so it was important to listen carefully. Jim is survived by his daughter Diane (Duke), his two sons Shawn, Carter, and his five grandchildren Bethanne, Christopher, Alyssa, Quinn, and Cole. Jim was predeceased by two siblings Eileen (Buster dec.), and Ronald (Anne), and survived by five brothers George (Cheryl), Ralph (Diane dec.), Gordon (Joan), Glen, Russell (Myra).
He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life with be announced at a later date.
