On Monday, June 17, 2013, Michael Eleazer Poitras (Mikey), loving son of Mike Poitras and Jean Starr of Starblanket First Nation passed away suddenly at the age of 20 years. A traditional wake will be hled in the Whitecalf Gym, Lebret on Firday, June 21, 2013 at 400 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Whitecalf Gym, Lebret on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with band elders officiating. Interment in the Starblanket Cemetery. Traditional feast to follow at OLC, Okanese. Mikey will be remembered and sadly missed by his parents Mike Poitras and Jean Starr; his grandmother Alma Poitras; a son, Anthony Poitras; a special friend Kelsey Bear; sisters Isabelle, Larissa (Moses), Sensheera; and numerous relatives and friends.
