Lilian Kirk

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Lil was predeceased by her husband Vic in 1995, her parents Austin and Annie Turner, brother, Gordon Turner, her sisters: Evelyn Turner, Grace Bittner, Ruby Bittner/Barnsley and Gladys Dinnin.

She is survived by her sons: Garry (Jeanette) Kirk, Winnipeg, MB and Tom Kirk, Balcarres; her grandchildren: Sharon Kirk (Bill Hamlin), Winnipeg, MB, Heather (Dale) Bridges, Saskatoon and Dale (Carina) Kirk, Winnipeg; her great grandchildren: Lucas, Marissa and Magnus Hamlin, Tayler and Reid Bridges and Brendan and Graeme Kirk, several nieces and nephews and special friend Katherine Ash, Saskatoon, SK.

Lil and Vic lived in Abernethy where they ran the Post Office. Retirement years were spent between Texas in winter and Abernethy the rest of the year. After Vic’s death in 1995, Lil lived in the Manor in Balcarres, then in the Balcarres Extended Care Home and then the BICC. Lil belonged to the Abernethy U.C.W. and her hobbies were sewing, knitting, crafts, traveling and family visits were always special and the grandchildren and great grandchildren provided much joy for Lil.

The family would like to give special thanks to Nephew Ron Bittner for his care and visits and many thanks to the wonderful staff at the BICC for their care for Mom.
