Joshua Starr

It is with great sadness that on February 8, 2016, Joshua Joseph Starr, Good Medicine Bear, at the age of 27 years of the Star Blanket First Nation has left us to go on to the spirit world.

He is predeceased by his grandmother Adelaine Starr, uncles Raymond and Jerome Daniels and adoptive brother Jarryd Starr.

He leaves to mourn his mother Patricia G. Starr (Russ), his sisters Alayna (Bryan Jr. M.), Brittany (Shandon P.), and brother Jared (Kyra D.) Starr. His partner Isabelle and son Phoenix Starr. His special adoptive family Allan and Sonya Starr, brother Nathan Starr and sister Alana (Tony) Cappo. His special aunts and uncles Kevin (Karen) Starr, Debbie Keewatin, Clayton Akapew, Shelley Fayant, and Shirley Lafontaine and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Traditional wake will be held at the Okanese Learning Centre, Okanese First Nation on Thursday, February 11, 2016 commencing at 4:00 p.m. with funeral service on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Elders officiating.

Interment in the Star Blanket First Nation Cemetery.
