Eileen Joyce Rowbotham June 27, 1927 - June 24, 2012 On Sunday, June 24, 2012, Eileen Joyce Rowbotham, widow of Frank Rowbotham, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK., died three days short of her 85th birthday. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK., on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Sharron Bodnaryk officiating. Cremation. Eileen has lead a very busy, active life of family and community. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, both in Regina, and especially at the cottage on Echo Lake. During the years she spent in Regina, she was in regular attendance at St. John's United Church, and very involved in the various groups within the church, and since moving to the valley, has adopted her dear friends at St. Andrew's as her second family. She's been an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for over fifty years, a member of the Echo Lodge Auxiliary and recently also joined the Fort Qu'Appelle Lions Club. She married Frank Rowbotham in 1952 and they resided in Regina until 1992 when they were able to retire to "God's Country" to their home "Trail's End" on Echo Lake. Eileen was predeceased by her sister Betty Elaine Cox and mother and father. She is survived by: son Kevin (Arla) Rowbotham and their family Noah and Ethan; daughter Kathryn (Bill) Banbury and their family Erin, Ryan (Melissa), Griffin and Sawyer.
