Virginia was born in Bronx, New York. Her and her husband Joe Florance have been resident’s of Spanish Lakes in Fort Pierce for the past eleven years, relocating from Wanaque, New Jersey. Prior to her retirement, Virginia was the Vice President of First Fidelity Bank in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Joe - Bowling, Golfing and visiting family. Ginger also loved the times she shared with all of her friends in the Spanish lakes community playing cards and bingo.
Virginia is survived by her husband Joseph T. Florance; her children Tom Patania of Wayne, NJ, Denise Crosta of Livingston, NJ, and Lance Patania of Glen Rock, NJ; stepchildren Jo Ann Tussey of Sussex, NJ, Suzann Santos of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Florance of Framingham, MA; fourteen grandchildren; sister Janet Lanagan, and brothers Billy, Larry, Tommy, Michael, Robby, Richard, and Joe Dunne. She was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Holy Cross, Vero Beach, FL at 10:00am.
At the family’s request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Ginger Florance to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
