Thaddeus Alexander Terry

Thaddeus Alexander Terry, born on September 7, 1933 in Holladay, TN to Marvin E & Myrtie Terry (Rowe). He was the youngest of 6 children and the older 5 preceded him in death. He joined the Navy in 1952 and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in February 1956. He married Shirley Terry in November 1956. She preceded him in death in August 2010. He is survived by their 3 children Debra (John) Duffy, Diana Terry (Todd Martin) and Susan (Gene) Morgan; grandchildren, Evan, Jessica, Zack, Shane and Lexie; great grandchildren, Ender, Rory and Amelia, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime companion of 10 years Joan Corder.

He retired from GM in 1988 after 32+ years working as an electrician. After retiring he lived in Arizona and Florida during the winter months and at the lake in Rodney and Delton, Michigan as well as in South Haven and Kalamazoo, MI during the summer months.

He was very active with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Lansing and South Haven, Michigan and Ft. Pierce, Florida. He loved to play and watch golf, play shuffleboard, bingo and on occasion, play at the casino. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sharing his love of fishing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to many genres of music and dancing to the oldies. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
