Sarah Holt Welch

Sarah (Ashburn) Welch, 63, passed away unexpectedly at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center on March 27, 2021. Sarah was born in Greensboro, NC and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. She graduated from Ft. Pierce Central High School, Class of 1975. She recently retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years. Sarah is survived by her loving family- husband, Joseph Welch, son Edwin (Sara) Wilson Jr., grandchildren Chase and Aubrey Wilson and brother James (Henry) Ashburn as well as numerous other family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Molly and James (Jim) Ashburn.

Sarah enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, gardening and growing her beautiful orchids as well as traveling. Sarah was always there to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family and her beloved dog, Penny Rose. She will be missed beyond words but we find comfort in knowing she will always be with us in spirit and looking over those she loved wholeheartedly.

A memorial service for Sarah will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
