Samuel Lee Pierce, known to all family and friends as (Bro) was born on November 9, 1943 to the late Willie James and Louvina Pierce, in Midville, Georgia. On April 13, 2016 Samuel passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Lawnwood Regional and Heart Institute after a brief illness. He was 72 years old. Samuel attended the public schools in Midville, Ga. Before moving to Fort Pierce, where he worked for Indian River Citrus, and Tru Green in the maintenance department before his retirement. In 1968 Samuel met and married Rosa Miller. To this union there was three children born. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie James and Louvina Pierce, Brothers, James Pierce, Charles Sneed, Sisters, Ilene McCoy, Susie Hayward, Lou Mae Pierce, and Baby Sister, which died at birth. One daughter, Anne Pierce. He will be greatly missed and loved by his Mother-in-law, Mary Lee Miller and Step-Mother Estella Pierce. He leaves to mourn his death, Loving Wife, Rosa Miller Pierce, Sons: Ricky (Ruby) Wells of Louisville, Georgia, John (Deidra) Williams, Kelvin (Rolanda) Pierce of Fort Pierce Florida. Daughter: Valecia Pierce (Byron) Holmes of Atlanta, Georgia. Brother: Willie George Pierce, of Midville, Georgia. Sisters: Lou Bertha Grimsley of Fort Pierce, Fl., Ivivian Rumph of New York, Alice Sneed of St. Petersburg FI. Brother-in-Iaws: Jesse (Roxie) Miller of Caldonia, New York, Isiah (Geraldine) Stewart, Leroy (Mary Emma) Miller, Jimmy Miller, and Robert Miller all of Fort Pierce, Florida. Sister-in-Iaws: Johnnie Mae Pierce of Midville, Ga., Eva (Willie) Wortham, Brenda (August) Allen, Beverly Miller, Thelma (Eddie) Lewis, Mary Maeolia Miller, Lowanda West all of Fort Pierce God daughter: Jessica Davis, God Grand Son: Jemarious Albury, Special Cousin: Annie Ruth Rawls of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Special Family: Strobridge, Collins, Ingrams, Johnsons, Browns, Chambers, Little, Pierces, and Very special: Bobby Golphin. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts, and friends. Uncle Samuel until we all meet again, we love you and we trust God will hold you in the palm of his hands.
