Bob was known to many as RF or RIF. Born in Rumford, Maine, he grew up in Plainville, CT where he attended Plainville High School, with further education at Tunxis Community College, residing in Plainville until moving to Canton, CT in 1992.
He lived in Canton until 2016, having then become a resident of Vero Beach, FL.
He served in the US Navy and after having served, was released from active duty to the Naval Reserve in Key West, FL. His profession was a building and remodeling contractor. He loved the water: boating, kayaking, fishing; he was enamored with Niagara Falls.
Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy Sullivan; son Tadd Richards; daughter-in-law Rochelle Maiorca and granddaughter Madeline Richards.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother C. David Richards.
