Pat was born to Patricia Smith and Richard Warner of Chestnut Hill, PA and grew up in Lansdowne, PA. In 1950, she married the love of her life, Preston Estelle, and moved to Bay Head, NJ. Preston and Pat built a home and raised their family in Bay Head. In 1986, Preston and Pat retired to Vero Beach, FL.
She was a caring person who gave freely of her time and talents to her community and a variety of charities throughout her life. Her last volunteer position was as Chairman of the Indian River Medical Center Auxiliary Thrift Shop, where she served more than 12,000 hours over 10 years. Under her leadership, the thrift shop’s proceeds for the charity reached a level unprecedented before or since.
Pat enjoyed family, friends, and travel. She had many friends throughout her life. She traveled to many parts of the country and world. One of her most memorable trips was to the Cotswolds region of Southern England.
She is keenly missed by her family and friends. Her family’s grief is far exceeded by gratitude for her love, her devotion, and her life. She lived her values and taught her family through her example. Remembrances of the laughter she brought to the world with her antics and stories will be with us forever.
Pat was preceded in death by Preston, to whom she was married until his death in 1993. She is survived by her three children: son Lt Col William Estelle, USAF (Retired); daughter, Susan Anderson and son-in-law, Hassell; son, George Estelle; and four beloved grandchildren, Nels, Griffin, Shea, and Robyn Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Mark’s Anglican Church, 1795 45th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32966, where Pat was a longtime member.
