Born in Boston, MA he has been a resident of Vero Beach, FL for the past 5 years, formerly of Weston, FL.
Prior to retirement, he was a manager at Pan American Airways for 32 years in Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Miami. He loved being with his family and friends, and was an avid golfer. Iver was a United States Air Force veteran and served in Germany.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Lail Highfield Stenborg, sons, Robert Stenborg, Matthew Ehrman, Christopher Ehrman and Ryan Kurtz, daughters, Robin Jones, Cheryl Kittle and Julie Kurtz, sister Lorraine Bruno and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters Mildred Hansen and Lois Meli.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Aycock Funeral Home and Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Fort Pierce, FL at 2:00pm.
