Walt was born in Flint, MI and had been a resident of Sun City Center, FL for over 10 years coming from Vero Beach, FL.
Walt served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement Walt worked as an analyst for General Motors in Michigan for over 29 years. Walt was an entertainer; he loved playing the piano, singing and dancing. He was also the president of Swan Lake, Village Green.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Walter is survived by his loving daughter, Mary Mince, who he thought of as a daughter. Walter also leaves behind many other nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. The family would also like to give thanks to Hana who has been his companion for many years and Jim and Trudi Hesling who have been his friends for more than 60 years. Walter had many friends and everyone who knew him loved him very much. Walter was predeceased in death by his wife Eva and his brothers Bill and Roy Berry.
A visitation will be held Monday January 11, 2016 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm with a chapel service to follow at 12:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, Florida. Interment will then follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL.
