It’s with great sadness that Florence M. Smith (Pinky) Age 103, passed away peacefully at Orchid Manor, Vero Beach on January 30th, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband James L Smith Sr. and her son Kevin D Smith (Husband of Robin Smith). Florence worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years in North Brandford, CT. When she and James retired they moved to Fort Pierce, FL for 25 years. Florence and James loved golf as well as bingo at the Spanish Lakes Club House. She is survived by her brother Donald Hayden of Killingsworth, CT, her son James L Smith Jr of Guilford, CT, his wife Rita, daughter Lauren and daughter in law Robin Smith of Ft Pierce. Also her grandson James D Smith and great granddaughter Lillie of Hyde Park, VT, and many nieces and nephews. Florence’s ashes will be laid to rest next to James. Arrangements will be handled through Aycock Funeral Home Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with the love and respect they are known for.
