Evelyn was born in Adams Center, NY and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 59 years coming from Queens, NY.
Evelyn worked at Wendy’s for several years and was formerly a member of the Vero Beach Garden Club. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rene Hitziger, of Vero Beach, FL; daughters, Deborah Hitziger, Michelle Barger, both of Vero Beach, FL; son, Rene Hitziger Jr., of Denver, CO; brother, Paul Bassette; grandchildren, Hannah Foster and Elizabeth Foster, both of Jacksonville, FL.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Ryan Foster.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Cornerstone Christian Church in Vero Beach, FL.
