Walter Arnold Smith

Walter Arnold Smith, age 86, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Walter's parents Howard C. Smith and Ruby Mae Smith (nee Cook) welcomed him into the world in Fort Myers, Florida. Walter was a beloved husband and father. He was always putting his family first and loved nothing more than to spend time with them. Walter was a veteran, he retired after 20 years of service in the United States Navy. He was very proud of his Naval service and loved his country. After his many years of military service, Walter became a farmer in the cattle industry. He was a dedicated man and always worked hard to tackle any obstacle that was put in front of him. Walter was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Walter will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at 7082 - Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
