My memories of Vin are fragmented but stand out . There was the visit  to one of Vins relatives house ( for a BBQ )who had a pool. He packed his car with a bunch of us and off we went..I sat near the pool ,everyone telling me to jump in and cool off. I not knowing how to swim  refused being a party pooper. On the way home that day disappointed in my own behavior  I expected to be  chastised  for being so standoffish.. Vin  being the man he was  addressed me with  nothing but positive encouragement . It made this ghostly white introvert with a bad sunburn breath a sigh of relief.

Losing the one you love seems unbearable.  A hug, smile, kind gesture, time and memories help.  My memory of Vin is sweet --he unselfishly allowed his wife and kids to come to Bayonne every summer to help care for our Mummy.  Those two months were a great help and put a smile of delight on Mummy's face.  Vin was a caring and compassionate man, he will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with Ronni and his family.  Until you meet again ---

We remember Vin as a soft spoken man.   Very kind and giving.  When we were visiting my sister in  Sarasota, we all stopped by to say hello to Ronni and Vin  in their area.  My sister told Vin she was moving out of Florida and Vin gave her helpful advice on how  to price and sell her condo.  She appreciated it very much.

Vin will be missed by all in the family.   God bless him.  

 Vin was  such an amazing man with great resilience and strength.  Years ago, after his bypass operation, I called and was surprised that he answered the phone, sounding chipper as could be.  No complaints about the pain he must have been in, just happy to be home.  That attitude continued through his growing medical problems, never a word of complaint when I called, always saying he was doing fine.  So sad that we have lost this man.  Buddy and I want to express our sincerest condolences to Ronni, Vin and Sherrie, Ryan and Stephanie, Shawn and Ashley, Kerri, Trystan, Liam, Tiffany and Ryan, Jr., along with his many relatives and friends, on  your great loss. 

I remember the last time I saw Uncle Vin, which must have been around 2004, 2005. Mom and I were down in Marco Island on vacation, Kerri and I took a drive up to see them. It was probably the first time I had seen him in years (I live in NJ) and we chatted like no time had passed and he knew what was going on in my life, I will always remember him laughing when I said I had broken the side view mirror on my fathers car on the ride down there.  My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Ronni and the rest of the family. My heart is absolutely broken for all of you. Until we meet again Uncle Vin. Rest Well. 

I remember the day I got married, boy what a day that was. You were my best man 40 years ago and you got me very drunk. Your sister Marge and I could't go on our honeymoon until the nest day. Good by and rest in peace,until we meet again.  Your brother in law Michael 

Well Vinnny    I can still hear you telling everyone that will listen that I pushed you up the stairs and you got  hurt, It was a lie, you were just a clumsy boy. I loved it when I watched you, and it was just the two of us. To this day I don't think Mom believed me . Rest in peace my baby brother your sister Marge

Mrs. Reed I am so sorry for your loss.  I have gotten to know your daughter-in-law, Stephanie, through Facebook.  Her father, Neil Lewis, and my father, Bob Lewis (deceased), were cousins.  I have gotten to know Stephanie, about 3 or 4 years ago.  I know from what she shares on Facebook, she is a very caring soul.  Lean on her and her husband in the difficult days to come. Uncle Vinny and Aunt Ronnie were always more than just an Aunt and Uncle to us. We were young parents and they were always there to give us advise on parenting. Once Uncle Vinny stopped by and my kids had been out playing all day and when they came in I noticed that my son had a high fever and I was beside myself and he said to me, "Has he had anything to drink today". Just give him lots of water and he'll be fine. Sure enough, that was the cure. Again he was more like a brother than an Uncle. He helped us to find our first apartment and even gave me a job writing out letters to help us poor newlyweds pay our rent. Every Christmas we could always expect our tin of popcorn under their tree. With having children close in age, we spent many of birthday parties with them and our beloved Aunt Kay. We will always love and miss him with all our hearts.
