From the moment Travis was born he was full of life and ready for adventure. He never wanted to put things off until tomorrow, always had to get things done today. He was very patriotic and dreamed of serving in the US Military. He also had a love of pink and its support of Breast Cancer awareness.
Travis loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of McGregor Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to church camp, on missions trips and sharing the gospel. While on a mission trip on June 28, 2012 he was baptized in the ocean.
From the moment Travis could walk he could throw and hit a baseball. When he was 5 years old he competed in a Muttin Bustin (sheep riding) competition at the Arcadia Rodeo. He was the only one who could hold on for 8 seconds and he won.
As a young child Travis played baseball at Lehigh Acres Little League. He had a passion for baseball and played until high school. He also played Pop Warner football for the Lehigh Raiders off and on. Travis even wrestled for a brief moment in time in the Riverdale youth league.
Travis was involved in the Lee County Chapter of 4H, raising and showing rabbits, goats, and hogs for the SWFL Lee County Fair. He had a love for animals.
He went on to race BMX at the Cape Coral BMX track and was an instant natural.
Travis had a passion for hunting, fishing, and mudding. He never turned down an opportunity to go. Before Travis was 17 he had shot his first boar with a 22, a deer with one shot from a muzzle loader and caught numerous fish. At 13 Travis shot his first Robin Hood arrow in his front yard. He loves the outdoors and being surrounded by nature. That's where he found his peace.
Travis was always the class clown and love to make people laugh. He didn’t like people being mad at him or anything else and would always try to make you laugh.
Travis attended Riverdale High School. He played football and was involved in JROTC his freshman year.
On April 29, 2016 Travis was walking with friends to a canal to go fishing when he was hit by a car. He went home to the Lord on April 30, 2016 at 1am leaving behind a loving wonderful family and group of friends. He will always be remembered for his love of life and infectious smile. Rest in peace Bubba. We Love You.
