Stephen “Steve” Barnett age 74, of Lehigh Acres, FL passed away on January 28, 2016. He was a member of New Life Assembly of God for the past 25 years. Steve was a veteran of the US Navy. He dedicated 18 years of service to Lee County Mosquito Control as well as previous times spent in the role of private and commercial pilot. Steve was also a member of V.O.I.C.E., the volunteer division of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He had a love for string instruments and had built 9 harps over the years. Steve was also a pastor for 2 churches, an actor, and did several voiceovers.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Regina; sons, Jeremy and Chad; grandchildren, Ashlee and Darian; great grandchildren, Caden and Carter; and brothers, Peter and Geoffrey.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1PM at New Life Assembly of God, 5146 Leonard Blvd S., Lehigh Acres, FL 33973. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s honor to the New Life Assembly Development Fund.
