Sarah Aretha Kirkpatrick, a pillar of strength and love, was born on March 10th, 1943, in Boynton Beach FL, attended Lee County’s J. Colen English School and graduated from Fort Myers High School, passed away at the age of 81 at her home in North Fort Myers, FL. Sarah leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her family, unwavering faith, and creative passion.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Russell G. Kirkpatrick, of 65 years and her three cherished children: Cheryl Ann Montgomery, Rena R. Kirkpatrick, and Shane C. Kirkpatrick.
Additionally, leaving behind four beloved grandchildren: Brooke R. Trometer, Dillon R. Montgomery, Laramie S. Kirkpatrick, and Lakelee S. Kirkpatrick, as well as two great-grandchildren: Brandi K. Spaich and Presley C. Trometer. Also, Brandy L. Kirkpatrick, her devoted and loyal daughter-in-law, bringing unwavering support to Sarah and her family.
Throughout her life, Sarah’s resilience in balancing the demands of raising three children, a full-time career of 30 years and her marriage to Russell. Guided by her strong religious faith in God, she instilled deep morals and values in her family.
Sarah's creative passions enriched her family and church; her cake-baking and sewing skills brought joy, delight, and amazement. Her ingenuity shone through with her handcrafted Western Shirts, showcasing her resourcefulness. Her love for horses bonded her with Russell for 65 years and her devotion to her dogs and pets reflected her boundless and unconditional love.
Sarah's nurturing and loving spirit, along with her constant presence, served as a beacon and pillar within her family, always providing a sense of home, no matter the distance they had traveled from her. Her love, compassion, and faith in God will inspire her family and those who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on their lives forever.
A graveside service for Sarah will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
