Rick was a long-time resident of Florida, first in Bonita Springs for 15 years, then moving to Westminster community where he resided for 17 years.
Rick was born in Mishawaka, Indiana to George & Estella (Bozel) Morin the 2nd of 8 children born to his mother. His mother passed away when Rick was only 17 and she signed for him to go into the Navy before she passed. He served on the Camberra and took part in the blockade of Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis. After serving on the Camberra, he was part of the Honor Guard at Anacostia Naval Base in Maryland, where he completed his tour of duty. After his discharge from the Navy, Rick decided he wanted to visit ever state in the Union as he been on a world cruise while aboard the Camberra. He accomplished this goal by working in every of construction by day and playing pool at night. He worked on both the Dallas Airport and was at Pluto Bay in Alaska to name two. When he had seen every state, he returned home where he went into the construction business with his 2 brothers to form Morin Brothers Construction in the 70s. In 1983 he went on his own as R. Morin Construction and started building custom homes in the Crown Point, Indiana area, primarily in the Lakes of the Four Seasons community.
Rick retired in 2019 and made Westminster his forever home. Rick was an avid and very good golfer, but he was never too busy to help others with their game if asked. Rick always practiced this belief in all parts of his life whether it was encouraging someone in business or lending a hand to just help out when he saw the need.
He will be greatly missed by those who survive him. His wife, Rita, who will miss the laughter and strength he brough to their marriage of 35 years. He is also survived by 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and his aunt, "Pitty Pat,"
