Ray R. Daughtrey, age 91, of Fort Myers passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born in Fort Myers, Florida on April 22, 1933 to Jack R. and Minnie Daughtrey.
Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley Daughtrey; daughters: Mona (Mike) Remy and Loralei Nader; grandchildren: Shane Remy, Lindsey (Kyle) Maurer and Chelsi Nader; great grandchildren: Jacob, Trevor, Allie and Wyatt; sisters: Lois Pantuso, Eloise Wilkins, Dorothy Henderson; brother: Tommy Daughtrey and sister-in-law, Colette Daughtrey. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Derek Nader and his brothers and sisters: Marvin Daughtrey, Troy Daughtrey, Janet Bonte, Elwood Daughtrey, Elberta Boyette and Jackie Daughtrey.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8th at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park from 12:30 pm until the time of the Celebration of Life service at 1:30 pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ray’s memory would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
