Thank you all for your kind thoughts and memories of my Dad; he was loved and is very much missed.

Paul gave me my first position as a consulting actuary. The things I learned from him have helped me throughout my entire career.  My thoughts and prayers are with Dell and the rest of the family.

I want to express my sorrow at the death of Mr. Cowan. I am the Regional Director for The Ohio National Life Insurance Company, in Tennessee. Mr. Cowan worked for our company for a number of years in Cincinnati.  On behalf of all of the employees at The Ohio National Financial Services Company, we express our gratitude for his wonderful service to our company and also our sorrow at his passing.

Dell,

I'm in Annapolis for the summer, but still check The Enquirer every morning via the Internet.  Was saddened to see see this morning that Paul had passed on.  He was a good friend from whom I learned a lot.  Just the other day I quoted him when I argued that Obama Care never would work without the individual mandate.  During the winter I'm in Vero Beach in a retirement home where Sug and I went about a year before she died four years ago after 10 years battling breast cancer.  I know how close you and Paul were  and I certainly appreciate how you must feel right now remembering the wonderful life you had together.  You have my deepest sympathies.
