Patricia Jean George

Patricia “Patti” Jean George, 81, Fort Myers, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was born Sept. 15, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL. Patti resided in East St. Louis-Belleville, IL until 1980 when she moved to Fort Myers, FL.

Patti is survived by her children, Michael George, Julie M. Hauck, Richard George (Bridget), Laura Patzner (Edward) and Timothy George; Grandchildren, Andrew Hauck, Josh Patzner (Rachel), Lisa Patzner, Dan George, Jeffrey George and Elizabeth George. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Barbara Smith; son, Jeffrey George; sister, Barbara Pratl and dear friend, Bill Bauer.

Many people in the Ft. Myers community may recognize Patti because of her many years in retail sales. She always had a flair with fashion and truly enjoyed helping others find their own unique style.

The family will receive friends at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Dr., Fort Myers, on Thursday, April 27th, from 6 – 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Church of the Resurrection, 8121 Cypress Lake Dr., Fort Myers, on Friday, April 28th, at 9:30 AM. Patricia will be returned to Belleville, IL to be laid to rest with her son, Jeffrey.
