At 97 and ½ years old, on January 18, 2021 Lillian Lois Kinney Luettich of Fort Myers, FL went to be with her Lord and beloved husband Charles. Lillian was born to Hardy and Lois Kinney in Bee Ridge, FL on May 23, 1923. She spent her childhood growing up all over south Florida with her 7 brothers and sisters, as Hardy worked on the railroad for the Seaboard Coastal Line and US Sugar Corporation. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1941 and was believed to be the oldest living alumni. She was faithful member of Estero United Methodist Church and their oldest living member until her death.
On December 7, 1947 she married Charles Luettich and shared 48 years with him prior to his death. She dedicated her life to raising her three sons in Fort Myers right down the street from Terry Park. In 1973 her and Charles became one of the first families to move to Briarcliff. It was literally a swamp back then, she was a true pioneer. Her and Charles spent many years involved with the Lions club and they enjoyed giving back to the community. Later, they bought property and built a cabin in North Carolina where they were able to slow down and enjoy retirement. She loved to sew and crochet. She was considered an expert seamstress and made beautiful clothes, including a wedding dress or two. She also loved animals and her home was not complete without a dog or cat or both.
She is survived by her sons Larry (Cynthia) Luettich and Carl (Charlotte) Luettich. Along with 6 grandchildren Tammy Luettich, Amy Luettich, Dennis (Jennifer) Luettich, Wayne (April) Luettich, Erin (Julio) Vides and Christina Luettich.
