Larry J. Peterson

Larry J. Peterson, age 71 of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. He was born to Johnny Bob Peterson and Lula Pearl in July 24, 1948 in Blakely, Georgia. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He was proud to be a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War from 1966-1969.

Larry was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing, coaching little league baseball, helping his sons with 4H projects. He like muscle cars and enjoyed listening to country music. He was very generous, donating to several causes like the Humane Society and Samaritan’s purse just to name a couple.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Beverly Ann Peterson; both of his parents; brothers, Earl and Johnny Peterson; 3 sisters, Linda, Maringo, Brenda and Betty Jean Peterson.

He is survived by 2 sons, Chris (Crystal) Peterson, and Brad Peterson; one grandson, Ethan J. Peterson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church, 10721 Palm Beach, Ft. Myers, FL 33905 on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm with funeral service to follow. Burial will take place after the funeral service at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, 12777 State Road 82, Ft Myers, FL 33913.
